I am outside the firewall. I setup queryman but I can't access the database because port 1025 is blocked.
I noticed you can change the port on the advanced settings in the odbc configuration, but the question is - How do you set up the Teradata database on a different port?

I'm just a user.

thanks,
big

What other port are you going to try

'80' which is the WEB port?
'110' or '25' which are the MAIL Ports?

Most ports which are currently open through a firewall are open because some process is using them.

Even if you change the port number for Teradata you will probably syill have to reconfigure the firewall to open that port number so why not just open up port 1025?

that being said.....

if you want to change the port number, follow the directions in the READ ME for the Teradata Demo on how to change the Port number for Teradata since changing the port number is required for running on XP.

Now remember All clients, even those inside the firewall, will also have to access Teradata Through this new port number and therefore will also need to be reconfigured once you change the port number.
