I have been running a Symantec VPN client on my own equipment from inside many different networks, just using the client's bandwidth to reach my own servers while visiting. They have given me permission to do this.
Now, one client has patched their firewall and I can no longer access my VPN. I still have internet access through their T-1 and I can still create a tunnel to my public interface, but the tunnel does not pass traffic anymore. (Packets time out.) Their IT guys don't know what they did and I am not familiar with their firewall (I have never managed that piece for them, I think its a Cisco PIX.)
I can always plug in the cell phone at 60kbps, its just nicer to have 1.5Mbps when I am at their office (especially when I need a service pack or driver I don't have saved on the portable.)
Any simple answers? Could this be caused by the concurrent routing issue in XP SP2?
Thanks,
Alex
