Hello-

I am trying to install the FS agent on two Windows machines that are behind the firewall. I have installed it on systems behind the FW before so I have the proper ports opened, etc...

The issue with these two systems is a NAT. A DNS ping returns a .99 subnet address but their is a NAT of .97

When I attempt to remote install it times out at starting firwall daemon. If I attempt an install from the client, it returns an error about not being able to communicate with the commserve.

Thanks
Rick

can you remote into the machines? you may have to add host file entries on both the client and the media server (Commcell too)

I would go the host file entry first then attempt to install from the client

Thanks for your advice. Added the host file entries all around. Still times out trying to start the firewall daemon.

After speaking with Commvault, it may have something to do with one-to-many NAT config not being supported....

I would think that adding another nic and putting it on the "Backup" network would work
If you use hosts files then you can exclude it from DNS which might satisfy the security gods
And since it is on a isolated network that is a bonus also.
