Can anyone tell me where a newbie like me can find a good template to use for a Firewall on my Redhat machine?<br><br>I think I am using IPFWADM and IPCHAINS.<br><br>please help!<br>Thanks. <p> <br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= > </a><br><i>try not!</i><br>

Halfcircles,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I absolutely love Robert Ziegler's online firewall config tool at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> and he also wrote a book called Linux Firewalls at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> if you like something heavy to carry around :)&nbsp;&nbsp;You can read more about ipchains-based firewalls at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> if you like electrons better than pulp.&nbsp;&nbsp;I used Ziegler's tool to build the basis of my firewall and then added more &quot;ACCEPT&quot; rules for specific applications and every scan I've run against it with ISS have been solid.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Scott
