Hi all,

This will be the weirdest question to be answered, but I have a doubt about it, this my question:

We have setting up a 2 fortigate firewall cluster, so me and my collegue having discussion over mounting which firewall on top of which, i mean to ask generally how are the clustered firewalls mounted:

Active on top, passive lower or viceversa

My suggestion was to mount the passive on top, and the active below.

Silly, but need hints, thanks any ways to read it.

Are you asking which firewall to physically mount higher in the rack?

If so I don't think it really matters as long as they are powered seperately (different UPS) you could even argue to put them in seperate racks. For the record our passive is on top.

Yes, I am asking, which one to be physically mounted on the rack.
