firefox won't open links in new browser or if I hit Ctrl-N

Hello all.

Firefox won't open links in a new browser. You know, links that are external won't open in a new browser. I have to right click and then hit tab to open the link in a new tab.

The open in new window won't work on the file menu or the right click menu.

None of the bookmarks on the Bookmark toolbar will work. The one's that open external browsers just show an hour glass.

See if you have performed this step. Go to tools then options, now click advanced, scroll down and expand tabbed browsing. Check the circle beside new window.

Nice try. That did not work. I checked those options but never changed them. It shows the hour glass as though it working and there appears to be drive activity.

Keep the ideas coming. Is there anything in windows that would do this?

Hi

Some time ago I installed a theme in Mozilla. Since then, the Mozilla Mail was unable to show my mails. Because the chrom for the window which shows the mail content, was buggy in that theme. To be the problem more twisted, Mozilla was also unable to change the theme. So I had to remove it manually from the configurations.

So just an idea : disable your extensions and themes, then restart FireFox.
