Firefox User name and password not remembered

Hi, Sometimes my user name and password is not remembered and other times it is. My exception list is cleared and alway check use password manager to remember this password and I'm using windows XP

Do you have any security software (A/V, Anti-Spyware etc.) that periodically cleans out your browser cache? I know CCleaner does.

check under Extras >> Options >> Privacy and see if you have the option checked to clear Privat Data... if it is, then check to see what the options are set too (button right next to it)...
