Firefox Unable to Connect to Any Server

hi,

I think I let FireFox install an updated version.

Now when I open Firefox, I get
"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at my.yahoo.com."

It can't even connect to msn.com

Doesn't appear to be anything in Tools-->Options that would cause this...

Any ideas? IE works fine on thsi pc.

I reinstalled Firefox 2.0 tonight. Still get the same message: "Problem loading page. Firefox can't establish a connection to the server" My IE connection is working fine.
Have DSL.

Anyone having this problem with Mozilla Firefox?

Hi

Do you have a firewall ? Many of them records the checksum of the executable allowed to establish connections. And if the executable changes and its checksum does not match the recorded one, it is not let to connect anymore.

I disabled my Norton Personal Firewall 2002 (very briefly!) and then I can use Firefox to reach any website.

So Norton is definitely causing the problem.

If i don't get any help her, maybe I need to post in the Secure Computing Solutions forum.
