Can anybody give me advice on setting up my SBS 2003 R2 install with a firebox x10e (actually i have one for each site)?

I have atlantic broadband with a static ip.

Since the eventual goal is to connect our two offices, this will need to be considered, BUT my first concern is whether to use both nics in the server or just one? If one does the other need disabled or just let it go?

Another concern is the physical connections. Is it Cable modem to Firebox(Wan 1?) to lan(from Lan 0 on firebox?) switch to server?

Do I still setup the server to do dhcp?
The SBS server will also be a mailserver.

Any advice on setting up the box itself?

It is up to you really. Depending on the NIC's that you have in your SBS you should be able to create a NIC team and use both for a load balancing solution

Cable Modem -> WAN Interface
LAN Interface -> Switch
Switch -> Server

If you need to provide DHCP services to your computers on the LAN and there are no other systems to do it, then yes, you'll want to configure a DHCP scope on the SBS.

There is a dedicated 2003 forum here that can answer any other SBS questions that you have:

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)
