Firebox III 1000 V6.0 to V7.0

Greetings!

I attempted to upgrade the FB O/S with limited success. Luckily I made a backup of the flash before I began! I followed the v7.0 release notes, but my VPN tunnel did not go along for the ride. Everything else worked perfectly.

It's an IPSEC tunnel between two offices. We have the FB on this end and a SOHO (v5.1.7) at the other.

Never having done this before I'm most likely missing something rather basic. I know the notes say to expire the leases for the VPN after rebooting... Does this mean on the DVCP server side or the client side or both? Could this be my problem?

Added to the mix is that I can only yank control of the firewall away for 10-15 minutes at a time due to production schedules.

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.....

Solved my own problem! I jumped straight to Version 7.1 and had absolutely no problems. What with everything I went through, I would advise anyone with a similar upgrade problem to forget 7.0 and go directly to 7.1
