fire popup and new page

I wonder how we can fire popup or new page by clicking on button or hyperlink. in these pages i want to show data from my database,thats why redirecting to

http://www...

is not the case

by the way, i dont want the page (main page) that has button clicked to fire popup dont reload. what can i do ?

or you can use the modal popup included in the MS AJAX control toolkit. this looks cleaner than opening a whole new window.
