Check Event Viwer for errors.
Start afresh.
Stop Backup Exec services, rename \\program files\veritas\Backup Exec\data folder.
create empty data folder
restart Backup Exec services
recreate backup jobs.
You can always work backwards from this and have your old data folder to revert back to.
