I finally got the hang of completing the animated buttons I wanted, thanks to all of your help. One question though. How do I put just the button, and not the whole "scene" on my webpage? I want to create 4 different buttons, without making my entire page in flash.

go to modify>movie..change the pixels to be the exact size that you want the button to be..then create your button..

The answer to your next question will be... Use a frameset!

;-) "If nothing else, I can always serve as a bad example!”

A frameset is dividing your browser's window into frames. You can have a small top frame to hold a logo, a left tall vertical frame that would hold your buttons, and a main display frame showing the results of hitting your buttons for example... But guess you're not there yet!

If you're interested, just search the web with frameset.
