A program I am using to access my btrieve file is saying that I need wbtrv32.dll on my Win98 computer. Where do I find this file?

Hmmm.... what app is looking for this? If it's a commercial app, it should have included / installed the necessary Btrieve / Perviasive drivers.

Check the installation instructions for the program.

You also should be able to download the Pervasive.SQL 2000i Workstation or Workgroup engine and it will supply the wbtrv32.dll and the evaluation copy will work for 30 days, but then you should purchase the full version which lists for about $25 for the WSE and $125 for the 3 user WGE.

The pervasive workstation solved the problem and for $25 was well worth the cost.

Thanks

Thanks BettyM for the positive follow up. I hope you and most folks who have gotten answers here go mark the Smiley faces about working with Btrieve since it seems that most of their pains are related to the apps and engines being many years old and also to a lack of knowledge about the products. Though it is difficult to integrate new functionality with Btrieve sometimes (especially if you have no info and a 5+ year old engine with no DDFs) it is cool that these 5, 10, and even 15+ year old apps still work and if you have DDFs you can get a brand new engine that will support the apps and data. Just my two cents, but anyone who has something good to say should put in a happy smiley face :)
