Hi,

I import a lot of CAD work into Corel. I then apply cross hatching to areas of section views etc...

In autocad, I can click inside an enclosed area and the program automatically finds the outline. I can then hatch this enclosed area.

In Corel Draw I have to select all the elements of the outline, and the join them all together. Then apply a fill to the newly joined outline.

Is there any way of automatically finding the outline of an enclosed area? Sort of like a flood fill tool in paint program?

Best regards,

Marc

I think the problem is the way Draw imports CAD files ie DXF etc they seem to be separate lines rather than closed shapes so they must be closed before filling. Check out and isocalc.com for scripts that may help with this problem. Also try there should be an email link there to a collegue of mine who can give you chapter and verse on CAD files and Corel.
Regards
Alan
