A couple of users have been receiveing spam from various sources. I'm an MCSE on a Novell network (no comments please). Using other mail systems I would know where to look for the source address of the message ... but with GroupWise I am lost.

Any ideas where to look for the source IP address or mail server name??

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, don't worry I'm in the same position (MCSE on a Novell Network). I believe if you take a look at the bottom of the e-mail you will find an attachment, it is usually called "Mime.822" but I'm sure it can be something else. Right click on that attachment and choose "View Attachment” This information is the actual header information that contains the originating mail server.

This is what I do for my users and it works fine. Let me know if this works for you.

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*

Thanks a bundle.

In a sense I had to open an opened email in order to see that attachment - but there it was.

Thanks again,

Mike K
