Hi,

Is anybody able to tell me how I can find out when a DTS pack was last executed?

Thanks in advance...

Steve

If the package logging option was turned on, package execution history can be found in the sysdtspackagelog and sysdtssteplog tables in the msdb database. Logging is not turned by default.

If the package is executed by a Job you can extract job history from the msdb.dbo.sysjobhistory table.

If you want to get the best answer for your question read faq183-874 and faq183-3179.

Hi,

Thanks you very much for your assistance - I'm very new to the SQLServer world!

Additionly can you tell me where the settings are in order to log the execution progress and success/failur of dts packs?

I have trawled through the interface looking for something along the lines of "Tools-> Options" or "Edit-> Preferences" etc etc but can't find anything relevant.

Thanks once again for any help!
