Hi,

My university is spread over 3 campuses , A,B & C. I have trouble accessing a couple of websites at A & B campuses. The 3rd campus (C) connects to the outside world via a different link.

I can view at campus C, but not A & B. A & B can ping this web address. I've ran a trace route to this website from A & C. Only the 1st 4 hops (out of 15) are unique to a campus. Both sites use a similar address xxx.xxx.yyy.yyy (yyy are different at each campus).

I can access the site from A&B via an external proxy server. I can get end to end connectivity, but not web access through IE. What I think is that there is a firewall block somewhere along the way, but I don't know how to track where the block is.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

I've spoken to our network analysts and I'm told there are no internal to external blocks on our side of the network.
