Finding merged cells in tables in Word

Can anyone tell me how I find merged cells in Word tables or how I find a 3 column row in a 4 column table.

I basically have a 4 column table but some of the cells in certain rows have become merged creating some 3 column rows which need to be corrected. I need to find the merged cells and split them.

Thanks for your help
