so i have two files

file 1:

A
B
C

file 2:

A
B C
C

how can i compare both files to spit out a message sayin that in file 2.. there is a "C" duplicate .. in this case "B C"

thanks

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're flagging up. Is it
[ol]
[li]That there are two occurrences of 'C' in file 2 and, if so, why are you only interested in the first 'duplicate'[/li]
[li]That there is a line with two letters in it, i.e. B C? If so is there any significance that the next line has a 'C' as well.[/li]
[/ol]These are different problems with different solutions.
