Hi,

I have static IP addresses assigned to each equipment.

Is there a utility to find IP address duplicates (conflicts)? How can I do that without buying expensive testers or doing a manual inventory?

Thanks,

If you are using ONLY IP, the people coming onto the network with duplicate IP addresses are the ones who phone you as they can't access the servers.

If you can't do a manual audit, you should really be using DHCP - it is very easy to implement...

a network scanner might be nice 1st off(superscan is free) to see around but 3com and cisco both have something that will hunt the network to see whats up. So long and thanks for all the fish.
