HOW TO FIND OUT THE HOSTNAME/IPADDRESS IN NT/2000 USING mac ADDRESS

Seen various answers for that here - but you could try this (IP scanner):-
If you scan your network range of IP addresses and configure to return only live info, it will return a list of IP & matching Mac addresses which you can save to file. You can then search file for Mac address and get the IP (The IP Scanner window also shows the name too). Bit longwinded perhaps!

If you use DHCP it has log files linking host names, IP addresses and MAC addresses

You can find them in
c:\winnt\system32\dhcp\dhcpsrvlog.day
