Just wondering if anyone knew a sure fire way of finding/repairing corrupt .pdf's. Even if it's through 3rd party software. Any help is greatly appreciated.
If you have the money Pitstop server is a great utility for preflighting and fixing problems in PDF's. It gives a report of errors and can fix many issues dealing with PDF's. Otherwise Acrobat Pro has preflighting built in, but it isn't as automatic as Pitstop. Acrobat Pro 8 can acutally fix some issues with PDF's, but isn't as robust as Pitstop.
Well, I looked into Pitstop server, and it is definitely way out of our price range. So I'm hoping Acrobat Pro 8 will resolve this. Do you know if, in Acrobat 8, you can search for, and repair damaged .pdf's? i.e. We have 10,000+ PDF's, and randomly found a "damaged" one. So rather than sifting through all of these, we were hoping to just search for, and fix the damaged ones with some sort of program designed to do so. Is Acrobat 8 capable of this? Ty for the help regardless.
