or whatever it is listed as.

We have a guard gate getting calls to a prefix that goes through our switch. it needs to be killed.

But, I do a list ext-type all and do not see the range of 2100-2199 that this falls into.

is there any other way it could be defined? we own the prefix and range which it belongs.

can it somehow be outside the switch?

sorry for the inane questions. i have no training so I am a dummy.

Use the command "list dial ana" and see what 2100-2199 is defined as (extension, dac, etc.). It could be defined as a Trunk Access Code or something similar.

Are you stating that your guard gate is receiving calls from extension 21XX, and you don't know what/where extension 21XX is?

Susan
You can have it all. You just can't have it all at once.

exactly. i did a list dial ana but its invalid. i did disp dial ana and it lists dial plan analysis tables.

Depending on your version of PBX, check the incoming call handling table. In the older switches it's part of the trunk group. In the newer versions of CM it's a seperate table (display inc-call-handling-trmt trunk-group x).

Kevin

inc-call-handling-trmt is only used for isdn type trunk-groups. So, first do list trunk to see which trunk-groups are isdn. Then use Kevin's example for each isdn trunk-group to see if incoming digits are changed.

another place to look:

display dialplan parameters
udp first? or local extensions first?

list uniform

change uniform 2100
