Hello.
I have been searching the net over two days....what a shame.
The problem is as follows: many of our AIX LPAR production /usr directories (allocated on rootvg, / or logical volume hd2) are unexpectedly growing and growing...slowly and steadily. Some of these filesystems cannot be extended now without breaking mirroring and doing all the fuss necessary to expand them.
"under" the /usr we also have some /usr/sap directories and others.
I would like some help for issuing a find or ls command or script that would show me:
- The latest files, sizes and path, showing only what belongs to the rootvg vg (or the hd2 logical volume), obviously, excluding any extraneous filesystems mounted under the /usr name.
-It would be even cooler if I had a background script that would catch the file while it´s being created and mail me or generate a log, or something.
Any ideas towards the problem would be appreciated.
Thanks for reading!
Jeffo.
