Hello!!!
I was used to work on access 97, and there i could work perfectly with this method (findfirst), however when i started to work in access 2000 i saw myself in a weird situation!! My vba editor doesn't recognyze the findfirst method. when i compile the code it just says "Method or data member not found". I have already selected the library dao360.dll, wich is the Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library! I do think it's something about the references!!

i need help on this one!!
thks in advance to those who can help me out on this one!

Skep!!

Dear Skep,

as findfirst is a method of the dao.recordset it should really work.

Do you fully qualify your variable:

DIM hugo as DAO.recordset

otherwise it could happen that your variable is dimensioned to an ADODB.recordset which has no findfirst method.

regards Astrid
