I am using the finfirst method as an after update event to set the active record from a query recordset. I am connecting through ODBC to a SQL server, which is a new thing, and suddenly having big problems with this one form. The form also includes a subform, that looks at the related records in a secondary table. Sometimes the active record/bookmark appears to lose the record, and the other events designed to update the values in the form and then update the row to the table fail at that point.
any advice? Is this Access, or is it an ODBC function? I know that I can no longer lock all the records using ODBC.
