Hi,

I have a problem on some machines whereby on startup they have the server aliases pop up prompting for a username and password.
Sometimes when enterin a username and password in one of these login windows the machine hangs, other times after you have entered the login info and clicked o.k., when the desktop comes up a little dialog pops up in the top right corner saying 'the Finder has unexpectedly quit'

I had this problem a while back and someone advised me to delete an invisible file but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the file.

Any suggestions anyone ?

Many thanks

Hi,

I have found out this info I needed.

The invisible file is the AppleShare PDS file.

I delete this and then reboot and all is o.k. again.
