The main processor unit on our customer's Partner ACS rel. 1.0 failed without any backup. I replaced with a refurbished ACS rel 6.0 (PACS R6.0.C C01). Most things came up fine, just had to reprogram, BUT: I can't get the VMS online -- I can't find the VMS extensions to get them into the #777 hunt group. I've tried dialing extension numbers up to 90 without hearing the VMS's prompt. The VMS is a module with a 2-port card in it, no release # visible except for 539C11 (?) and a manufacture year of 2000.

Any clues? Thanks.

The voicemail ports should be the same for both processors.

2 questions:

Can you verify that the voicemail really says "539C11"? When I Google that code it returns "Avaya Partner Messaging R7".....which didn't exist back in 2000.

Also, can you list the modules going from left to right (if the system is contained in a 5-slot carrier)?

Thanks, Dexman.

Regarding the 539C11, this could be an upgraded card. We're not the original techs on this system.

Going from left to right, the system has:
206E, 200E, processor card (Partner ACS rel 6.0), VSMail, 206E

There's a gap in the extension numbers between the first 206E and the second. Is that where my VM ports are?

Your voicemail ports with that config would be: 34 and 35. the acs has x10-17, the 206e has x18-x23, the 200e is seen as a 206 so the system sees x24-x29, the vs mail is also seen as a 6 extension port card so available vm ports being x30-x35. With a 2-port voicemail you assign the last two ports (for vs mail, it varies with partner messaging) so your ports would be x34 and x35. You need to assign them to #505, hunt group 7 before they will answer properly.

If the voicemail is an Avaya Partner Messaging, you would use the first 2 extensions (as opposed to the last 2 for the Partner Mail VS).
