Hi there,

I wonder if someone might be able to offer me some advice. A month or so ago, we migrated to a new server cluster at work. Ever since this time, and despite the SV8100 Remaining on its existing VLAN, i am now unable to access the unit via the Web Interface, i cannot ping the device either.

I am under the impression that the unit may have temporarily been plugged into the LAN Network momentarily whilst we were tidying the Switch Cabinet, as a result of this it may have attempted to get a new IP from the Domain Controller.

I was under the impression the IP Address of the unit should be static it any case.

Is there a way i can directly connect to the unit via laptop?

Any help regaining access would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Alex

Try, press FNC (Feature) + 6 to see the address obtained. You can connect directly. Make sure your PC is on the same network as the system.

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply. I had tried previously to do Feature & 6 but for some reason this does not give me anything (Maybe the address is gone). I get a MAC Address if i do Feature & 4 however. I presume there must be something configured internally to stop you accessing the IP from the handsets? I will bring my laptop to the office tomorrow to try and connect directly to it, i am worried this will still not offer me any access if a new & unknown address has been assigned via DHCP - I cannot however see any address issued to it in either the Domain Controller or the Router.

Thanks

Alex

EDIT: I am also unable to get in via the Speaker - #*#* method, i just a repeating beep and no prompt for password

#*#* is done through ICM dial tone. If it's programmed to grab a trunk first, this will not work. You need an ICM button.

Hi there,

That makes sense why it was not working for me.

So i hooked the laptop straight the SV8100, i am able to access WebPro using the Default IP Address (192.168.0.10).

The Subnet used on our local network is 192.168.16.xx - Funnily enough in the WebPro Homepage the IPL Address is 192.168.16.250, however the IP Address was still 192.168.0.10. I tried to change the IP there on the homepage, and rebooted the system. However upon reboot the address has reverted to 192.168.0.10.

Is there a specific way i should be changing this? I simply want to be able to access WebPro from my Desktop PC.

Thanks

Alex

What do you have programmed in 10-12-01/02/03/07/09?
Do you have a VoIP daughter board on the CPU, and are you connected to that?
NOTE: after changing the IP address a system reset is required.
