Find the Average Date in a Column

I've got a query that filters dates based on criteria, but when I do the AVG function on the dates, it returns a numeric value, specifically 36088.8078817734. I want the average date in date format. Any ideas?

try CDate(AVG(dateList))... this will convert to date & time...

if you only want date w/o time part then try

CDate(Round(Avg([Date]),0))
