Dear All,

I have a list of 200 agents on a SS, is there a way to put coding or a formula in place to check and prompt if a name is already on the column or is a similar match, it would prompt up to say agent already on, or similar name, the prblem I have is people always spell everybody's names differently, people enter my name as either 1 of the following.

rob carr
robert carr
r carr
r car

is it possible to check the value entered a find a close match and ask if this is the 1 you are looking for.

any help suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Rob.[yoda]

Break the words apart in the search name and in each spreadsheet name as you encouter it. Match each word in the search with each word in the spreadsheet name based on which word has the fewer characters. So, RO CARR matches R Car and ROB CARRY, Of course R CARR will match ROBERT CARR AND RICHACHD CARR.
