Hi folks,

how can I make sure whether a certain system is running UNICODE or NON-UNICODE kernel ?

Regards
Thomas

There are several ways; two of them come to my mind just now:

At operating system prompt type:
disp+work -V
Among the first few lines there will be 'compilation mode'.

In SAPGUI click system -> status
Look at the box 'SAP system data'; there will be a line 'unicode system yes/no'
In case this line isn't there: It is an old system from ancient pre-unicode ages.

hope this helps
