I am curious if anyone has heard of this being done, or know how to do it, but in the same way in most OS if you are looking at a folder that contains a lot of files, you can begin typing some letters and it automatically takes you down to the area of what you are typing.
------------------
Example:
apple
blueberry

[big gap of other items]

melon
orange
plum

[another big gap]

watermelon
------------------
So when I come to this page and see this huge list of stuff, if i just hit "O" on my keyboard, it automatically takes me to the orange (kinda like the way an anchor link works).

Anyone have any ideas on this subject or know of a better way, like an ajax "Search this page" or something?

Thanks.

Yes, get firefox and press control+f - then start typing your word.

I'm referring to a method that doesn't require a specific browser and doesn't require the use of CTRL+[anything].
