Anybody get this damn stuff to work yet?

I've set it up exactly as the admin manual says to and it still doesn't work.

Both user and admin guide say the user has to activate it through their mailbox by logging in, selecting 8 for admin, then press 3 to get a confirmation tone. When I do thar, 3 isn't even an option and I know I have the mailbox set up correctly, have the destination phone number entered properly, tried both as always and on a schedule and stll nothing.

I've set up te virtual DNs according to the manual but the only thing that doesn't make sense is when it says to assign the DN number of the line you want FM?FM to have access to. I'm using IP trunks and you can't assign them to sets (virtual DNs).

All the rest is set precisely how the documents describe.

Anybody have any luck with it yet?

Update:

Make sure you put in at the minimum the SU003 patch. There are a lot of FM/FM issues addressed in that one.

Also, in the admin manual, for the virtual terminal configuration, steps 9 thru 13 do not apply. When you read them you will see why right away but it is very distracting when the feature doesn't work for other reasons.

Otherwise, the admin manual is pretty accurate. Just make sure you have that update in there first before you try to use the feature.

Pretty slick feature by the way. Handoffs actually work well too. In my case, this user has voip trunks which on the 50 are limited to 12 so you might want to hand this feature out sparingly if users plan on having multiple destinations. It will use up all your trunks very quickly during the ringing phase until a call in answered.
