I just placed a bid which requires taking an Excel application and re-writing it to a computer programming language in order to make an executable. How can I find the formulas behind the functions in Excel, such as the function payment()? Thanks

Nevermind. The long formulas are located in the help feature. I didn't realize this at first because the formula I used as an example was quite complicated and involved.

You may also want to add the "Developer" tab to your Excel if you haven't done this already. Then have a look at VBA code (Macro) that has been created. There may be a lot more to it than just complex functions in your Excel file. There is a PMT() function in Excel, but there is no PAYMENT() function. If you really have a function called PAYMENT() it's probably a VBA macro.

Best Regards,
Scott
