One thing I always hated was when someone would configure a folder for access by a user name instead of a group. I am working with someone to try to sort out a couple of servers where the access is littered with usernames all over the folders and subfolders.

I there some sort of utility, script, or whatever that I can plug in a user name and it will scroll through the folders (preferably folders only) and list all the paths that the user name is listed.

We want to clean up a bunch of these ancient accounts and the only thing worse that seeing an employee name from 6 years ago is just seeing their SID in the security settings because you deleted the account.

You could try xcacls or AccessEnum
