I want to create a find dialog for a simple database, i was thinking of just having a radiogroup to select a field and a textbox to type the search word then just doing an sql to find the data..

Does anyone have any advise as to what they have done or what works well ??? Thanx

That might be good; it depends on your users: how familiar they are with the field names and with the possible data values. How are you going to present the results?

What about wildcards? Are you prepared to translate * and ? into % and _ ?

Are you going to let them see raw error messages or are you going to translate them?

Cheers
