Find Command without find assistant

Hi

The want to use find without find assistant to find wildcat
in the title such as any sentences have word user capture say 'Audit'

1.Audit Report HQ
2. Subsidiary Audit
3. Branches Audit
4. Auditor finding
5. Management committee
6. Feasibity study

The result should produce in the report are no 1,2,3 and 4

Go into Find mode and enter this as the find condition substituting your own table and field names which must be enclosed in quotes if they contain spaces:

If(Position(Upper(Tablename.Fieldname), 'AUDIT', 1) > 0)

The position function is case sensitive hence the use of the Upper function to make the search case insensitive.

If I remember correctly Paul's method is only required for Memo type fields. If you're finding on a text field, simply surround your search criteria with asterisks:

*Audit*
