Hello;

I am revising a huge document and am wanting to change the highlight that comes with the find/change... right now it highlights it black.... and I am wanting something more obvious, b-4 my eyes fall out.

Is there a way to change the highlight color using find/change?

THANKS

InDesign automatically highlights in the opposite color, so with black text, it makes the text white and then it adds the black bar so you can see it. I don't know of a way to change it, though there may be a plug-in.

If you're using Find/Change, you could do your editing in the Story Editor window (Edit > Edit in Story Editor)...but first set your Story Editor preferences so that the colors are easier on your eyes and also the highlighting.

When I need to see how highlighted text and objects will look (this is great for tables), I choose Window > Arrange > New Window to create a new window of the same file, then Window > Arrange > Tile to see the versions side-by-side. When I make a change to the version that's highlighted, I can see the results in the other open window. This doesn't work with the Find/Change, though unfortunately.
