Hi,

I need to replace multiple strings in a PDF document. Ex:
All the occurences of XYZ --> replaced to ABC
Birthdate --> DOB
Gender --> Sex
and at least hundred other replacements.

We are looking at automating this in order to standardise the process for all the future projects.

1) Is it possible to replace the text in PDF using any software? I currently have Adobe pro 9.
2) Is there a scope for automation in Adobe?

Thank you very much in Advance,
Hemanth

I sounds to me like you need a product that advertises an ability of open and edit PDF files. The Acrobat Pro product, in my experience, respects them as what Adobe designed them to be - Published Documents - not to have their content, changed, but viewed as published. I've seen advertising that WordPerfect X5 will open and edit PDF's, but I've never tried it.
