---I have a large acrobat file with an index.
---I've bookmarked all the pages as "page 1", "page 2", "page 3", etc.
---The Index was created in Word and I want to create links in the pdf document from its Index to various pages- for example: "1" will link to "page 1", "2" will link to "page 2", etc.
---Is there a function in acrobat where I can do a FIND for "1" and it will REPLACE it with the text "1" -AND- the LINK to "page1" ???

Briandina,
Word can do this linking automatically in the conversion to Acrobat if they are links in word. Was the index manually created in word - or with the index feature?

If it was created with the index feature, I would recommend converting again - this time turning on the setting to "Add Links to Adobe PDF" and "Add Bookmarks to Adobe PDF" in the change conversion settings.

There are some plug-in products that can search a document based on text or formatting and create links for you - but Acrobat does not do so natively.
Hope this helps.
