On the system, someone setup an information mailbox to provide directions to the facility. They need to change it and no one knows what ID was assigned to the information mailbox. Is there a way to find that out?

Thanks,

mapman04

if the mailbox was initialized, you should be able to find it within the System Admin section

It is initialized. They transfer callers to it via Feature 986 1 #. When I try to find it via Feature 983, I don't see it. How do I access the System Admin section?

Thanks,

I was referring to F983, then MBOX, Change, and then search the existing boxes for the one you are looking for.

on a call hit feature 986 than enter the number of the mailbox. if users only enter a one than i don't understand what you guys have programmed there.

I don't know the mailbox number. That's what I'm trying to figure out. I tested the feature 986 1 # and it does send me to the mailbox. I did this on my extension which is not the operators, so it must be programmed somehow.

Thanks,

i was saying you enter feature 986 than the mailbox number. Since you are entering a 1 after 986 i would say 1 is the mailbox number. but the pound sign is throwing me off and a 0ne digit mailbox number is throwing me off since I have never dealt with either.

transfers to aa 1???

"There are those who would make you believe there are no choices left. That they have the last word and its final. To those who try the world is wide open choices many.To those who dont only death awaits you.

There's a whole menu like system setup. When you press Feature 986 1 # it sends you to a mailbox that then asks says "For directions from Route 1, Press 1. For directions from Route 2, Press 2". So there must be several mailboxes setup. Maybe these aren't even information mailboxes? I inherited the system and have no real documentation on it. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Thanks,

Sounds like you are just Transfering them to CCR then from there they choose a number. Go and take a look at your CCR paths and they should tell you what each Information Mailbox is.

Ok. Now you've lost me. How do I look at the CCR path, for that matter, what is the CCR?

Thanks,

mapman04

CCR is custom call routing. To check log into ADMIN Press "other" then "ccr admin" then tree 1 then "modify".
When it asks for Path enter 1.

You can't screw anything up here without disableing first elsewhere but you can find what mailbox is under path 1.
