Filters

I am building a form and would like to apply a filter after a part number is selected. I am not sure when this filter should be appled i.e after update,lost focus, etc. or how to write this in code.

My goal is to create a combo box that will only allow selections of certain numbers after a part number is selected.

I hope this makes sense.
