Hello,

I have a request from my business user which I am not able to do it in Report Studio. The problem is, the user wants to see a filter on the result data colums (Like what we use in EXCEL)for further drilling of information.

It it possible to do it, if yes please someone help me.

Thanks in advance

Although I'm not a big fan of Excel as a reporting tool, if what the user wants is Excel-like filtering why not just generate the report in Excel format and let him/her filter there? Can't get more Excel-like than that!

The solution given above is the most simple one and maybe the one that should be encouraged.

If the end-user still want to use his list report in HTML with Excel-like filters, you can use [Value Prompt] in Report Page on auto-submit along with optional filters.

You will have a lot of work to do for the layout though...

Report Studio reporting has its own philosophy and it is useless trying to emulate Excel behaviors with it.
