At first I was asking if filters were case sensitive. Now I'm wondering if filters can handle Long File Names.
Yesterday I posted the question about case with this error message;
"AE3173 Invalid filter, sys:\restoretemp"
Today I have to ask about the Long File Name thing because I got this error from last night;
"AE3173 Invalid filter, vol1:\network trash folder"
The one thing these both have in common is the Long File Name.
There are other filters that are listed between these two filters and they didn't give me any errors.
I haven't gotten a backup all week because of this, because it gets this error and then won't backup anything in the volume.
I hate arcserve!!!
I'm going to have to take out ALL of the filters that have Long File Names. Which means I will be backing up more than I want to, which may be too much to fit on the tape.
Will somebody please help me with this?
Please!
