Filtering the dates of dimension member

Hi Gurus,

I need your help.

I am new to using MDX in MSAS. I am creating a report which should display the values for the latest snapshot date dimension (only!), when thhe report is opened. I am able to display the dates in sorted order but not able to filter only one date, i.e latest date in the report. Suggestion was to create MDX but I have no clue where to start. I tried creating a calculated member to calculate the latest date from the members, but formulas are not helping me much.

Any quick help in this regard would be great!!!
