All,

Recently I have been starting to filter out certain system files that cause the backup to finish as Incomplete, e.g. "perflib" files, cmagent.dym files for NetWare, etc.

I was wondering, what are the standards for filtering? i.e. are there certain system files that are often filtered out, and are there certain system files that should not be filtered out? Any feedback very much appreciated!

There is no "standard", I filter out nothing. The product does filter out some files on it own.

If the file is is protected by WFP (Windows File Protection) then it is not backed up. These files will get backed up when it backs up the "System State".

The pagefile is another that is skipped, but I don't remember the full list.
