Filtering Reports

Hi All,--running cr10

Is it possible from within crystal designer to create filters on fields used in the report.

For example given the following fields.

Name, City, State, Zip, Area_Code

Can filters be created that would prompt the user to choose a Name, City, State, Zip, Area_Code to filter by.

Yes, these are called parameter fields. After you create the paramter field you need to write a record selection formula to restrict the report's records to only those that match your parameter values.

I would stringly consider purchasing "Crystal Reports v10 - The Complete Reference" by George Peck. Great book for any level of crystal experience.
