I have created a report with a sub-report. I have been able to filter the report based on a form using Forms!frmName!control in the query grid.

My problem is that I want to filter the report using a value from a sub form. I am using the same method, but keep being asked to input the parameter value.

I used the builder in the query grid so spelling is not an issue.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hiya,

I never will understand this subform qualification syntax, it's pretty un-logical.

Doesn't make sense, but try this....

-----------------------------------------------------
[Forms]![MyMainForm]![MySubForm].[Form]![MyFieldName]
-----------------------------------------------------

to refer to your sub-form field.

The .[Form]! seems to be the key.

Thanks a lot

You are a Legend!

Seems obvious when it is pointed out.

Thanks again
